The New Currencies

We now have four “Munies”, each limited to it’s own set of items in the store.

Every gift for is arranged so that every item in each category works best for any girl who’s MOST favorite affection token type matches the one in the store. For instance Jessie’s unique gifts are the “Alcohol” type so they’re all sold in the Romance section, which is Jessie’s preferred affection type.

How do you get these currencies?

• Going on dates! You even get some even if you fail depending on how close you were to winning! (they seem to be somewhat random this way, I think it awards mostly their preferred, then some that aren’t their least favorite type).
• Selecting the correct dialog when talking to a girl. (Awards their preferred affection Munie).

How do I get more slots for unique and shoe items? and what are those icons at the top of each girl’s profile for?

After every successful bang, you NEED to talk to both girls, after which they will introduce you to a new baggage, and open up a gift slot of each type (unique, style, AND DATE).

In other words, You have to accept her baggage for the extra date gift slot. the extra passion level and style help too, but the extra date gift slot is the most important.

Stat Progression

All non-food, non-date gifts are now unique to just one person! No more giving each girl every possible gift they kinda like to unlock more hairstyles for them!

In HuniePop 2 non-food, non-date gifts are used to increase your stats!

• Smoothies work towards increasing your affection token value level, and you get double the XP for giving it to a girl who prefer’s it’s type.
• Shoes increase your Style XP, which is the chance a 4 or 5 match generates a power token
• Unique gifts increase the passion XP, the overall multiplayer level like the first game.

How much should I get per item.

So about 1/3 of a level for the affection levels (on easy or average) and about 1/6th of a passion or style level.

So you’ve taken the plunge and bought HuniePop 2 huh? Well, if you’re new to the series, or if it’s been a while, then you’ll probably have a few questions. Maybe you’re still struggling to break through to those high-numbers required by the girls in later levels of the game, or maybe you just want to understand the game better before you really get stuck in, either way, we have you covered. HuniePop 2 Beginner Tips — The Basic

You need to familiarize yourself with how HuniPop 2 actually works. You’re matching those different symbols to try and get the girls to like you, because that’s how adult games work, basically. Each symbol reflects a different type of affection or other effects. When you’re solving puzzles, you’re dating two girls and must juggle focusing on each one so they don’t get tired out while you gain affection with them. 

Each girl has a favourite type of affection, and the more matches you make of her preferred type, the quicker the affection meter will climb. The chart above should help you to get used to what the different symbols do. You should focus on the types of affection favoured by each girl, but if you can’t do that, at least try to avoid the type of affection she dislikes.

Another important HuniePop 2 Beginner Tip is which symbols to match early on. The best bet is to aim for Passion matches as early as possible, as this maximizes the affection you get from later matches. You should also try and get as many Turns matches as you can to maximize how long you have, but avoid matching Stamina unless you need it to prevent a game over. Stamina doesn’t increase affection at all or affect the board state, but it does take one of your turns to get it. 

Remember not to rush. There is no time limit while you’re on a date, so take your time and make sure that you’re performing the best match. If you spot a big match that really works for one of your dates, don’t be afraid to exhaust them if your other date is high enough on stamina. If you find a big match that is neither liked nor disliked by either girl, you should make sure to use it on the girl with the highest Passion score to maximize your affection bar. 

HuniePop 2 Beginner Tips — Getting The Girl

If you’re going after a specific girl that you like then there are a few things you can do to make it easier for yourself. 

Firstly, only go after the girl you want when there’s a good match. Since girls have likes and dislikes, you should wait until there’s a pair that don’t like the same type of affection, as this makes it harder to get bonuses for both. Instead, the best match is one where at least one of the girls likes the other girl’s dislike. 

You should also remember that just because you’ve seen a girl, doesn’t mean you have to go on a date. Leaving the area won’t make the girl in question upset with you. If you meet a girl and she has a bad matchup, try interacting with her in another way, then go back to your room and sleep until the next day. This will refresh the store and the girl’s stamina if you’ve been talking to her a lot. Avoid completing other girls dates successfully, as this raises the affection requirement for the next date you go on. 

You should look out for items that favor your best girl. Unique items should be obvious but also look out for the smoothie that matches her favourite type of affection. These smoothies can boost your stats, which means more affection during puzzle segments. if you need to earn seeds to buy things, but don’t want to raise affection, you can date other girls, then intentionally fail close to the end to farm seeds.
